I was hoping this had something to do with cutting it with a hole saw, filling it with rum or vodka, replacing the plug of rind, then taking it into a football game.

Suttree is an extraordinary book. Perhaps not as profound as The Road, but you absolutely must read it! I found it a bit challenging to get traction in the beginning, but I stuck with it and it was quite rewarding!

I could , and have , gone on and on about that book . If a thread had not already been done so recently , I would get one going . I gotta stop now before it gets cranked up in my brain . A must read against all the delusions of man in his natural state . Best "new" book ( '06) , still .

Sometimes I read a book and it just flows and the images immediately pop into your head. This was one of those books. I am currently reading The Beardless Warriors by Richard Matheson, a book about his own WW2 experiences, him being only 18 and thrust right into war. Great read so far

Hey , BD . Thought of you Saturday . I was pulling for the big BD . Not a Saban fan . Or a tide fan . Oh , well .
I think you or rob ( where is he ?) brought up these old threads , as I was going to start a new Road thread a few months back . Maybe down the line . I begin a goodly number of undead threads as is . Gotta pace myself . Be good BD .
btw , a small funny at NC's at the top of the forum . It's real too .
